A new giant is born in the Brazilian IT ecosystem

Brazil is the 9th largest IT market in the world, with double-digit annual growth, well above the world average. There are more than 26,000 software and IT service companies in the country, only 6 of which are traded on the B3 Stock Market.

This was the first sign that there would be an opportunity for consolidation of the IT sector in Brazil. However, to be possible to move forward with the idea of creating a giant in this market, it would be necessary to answer the main question: Are there in Brazil good software and tech-enabled services companies in the market B2B?

The answer was that great mid-sized companies, in differentiated niches, well positined in their market, good growth and margin (rule of 40s), recurring revenues, asset light, and super engaged partners.

Companies with these carachteristics were selected to be part of an “orchestra” with several different instruments, but all converging to the same common harmonic result, in search of excellence.

This is QESTRA, a holding company created at the end of September 2021, with the objective of supporting IT companies to the next level in performance and market share.

Qestra has a different approach from most companies in the IT industry in Brazil, as it is not a company focused on just one market segment, such as Software or Cyber Security or Cloud Services or IT Services. We are a levarage platform for specialized companies, well positioned in their markets and that aim to exceed their potential and be part of a large economic group to compete and grow (organically and inorganically).
